i gave it to him though. i didnt know the scope of his project but i thought he could use it to get us all home together. he didnt steal it

[Donnie claiming it as his own is tacky, but it's also a very Donnie thing to do. It belonged to future-him, so it's sort of his by proxy, blah blah. The logic is halfway there.]
